What is immersion?

 

According to the dictionary, immersion is an absorbing involvement or the fact of  becoming completely involved in something.

In terms of language learning, it is the process of learning a language or skill by using nothing else but that language or skill.

 

How does it work?

 

Immersion workshops are between 3-10 days long. You spend your days entirely speaking the target language with your tutor.

 

You stay with your tutor in his/her home or in a hotel or guest house.

You spend about 8 hours a day with your tutor studying and practising the language ‘immersively’ by engaging in various tasks that you do together with your tutor

 

Since your tutor is a native (or native-like) speaker, you will ONLY be using the target language the entire time!
