September 2023
Session 1
What is coaching? What Is coaching in Education?
Synopsys
This session introduces coaching in general and in education. We will look at the role of the EduCoach. We will discuss the definition of success; examples of successful people; fear of success and personal stories in different areas of life.
Session 2
The mind-body link
Synopsys
This session will introduce the mind-body link theory. We will make observations of the power of our mind. We will experiment with how thoughts influence our performance.
October 2023
Session 1
Beliefs and performance
Synopsys
This session introduces the concept of ‘self-talk’ and the idea that we all have an unconscious drive to behave consistently with our beliefs. We will practice tracking our self-talk and that of others.
Session 2
Goals and goal setting for the teacher-coach
Synopsys
This session introduced the link between goals and performance. We will discuss how consciously set goals influence the overall achievement rate. We will practice setting small goals.
November 2023
Session 1
SMART goals
Synopsys
This session introduces SMART Goals. We will discuss how to create them and use the for both teachers and students alike.
Session 2
Where you focus is where you are going.
Synopsys
It is a practice session. We will do practice tasks that will reveal where we automatically place our focus and what results and experiences these bring into our lives. We will look at how to shift focus.
Session 3
Listening Skills
Synopsys
We will devote the last two sessions of the year to learning different listening skills. We will learn about, discuss and practice: listening for accuracy, listening for empathy and listening for mutual creativity.
December 2023

Listening Skills 2
Synopsys
This session will introduce some aspects of NVC (non-violent communication) with a particular focus on listening skills.
